Rise of China culture?

Hmm not sure if many of you realised, but there are a lot of chinese related news nowadays. Not in chinese the race, but as in China chinese.

Culture wise, it is also interesting to hear chinese songs that promoted its culture/language above that of western culture/language.

Heard 中国话 by S.H.E? or 将军令 by 吴克群. From 中国话 you get this:

各种颜色的皮肤各种颜色的头发
嘴里念的说的开始流行中国话
多少年我们苦练英文发音和文法
这几年换他们卷著舌头学平上去入的变化

I know it's already a trend, but when you start to realise the pride they have in their own country, then it's time to realise time changed.... few years back bet you don't see this as part of popular culture. Was in Beijing 3 years ago, and a Beijing native proudly told me that China is the next power within 20 years. Now 3 years later... I wonder if we should accelerate the timeframe to within 10 years?

A cat that takes lift

Ever know of a cat that takes the lift up and down?

My block has such a cat. It wld wait at the lift patiently, once the door opens it slips in. At ground floor it wld go out... enjoying its freedom downstairs.

Then, when it pleases, it wld wait at the lift. The minute the door opens, it slips in again. When the door opens, it sniffs the floor, and if it is the correct floor, it wld go out.

At the door of its owner, it wld rub against the grill, scratch lightly at the door, meow. After a while the owner wld open the door and let it in.

If I'm not wrong, it's a Singapura breed.

Blogger got problem with singnet 1-500-19 issue

haiz... for many days I experienced problems with blogger... with some funny errors... till I got somewhat sianz and so did a google search. That's why I didn't blog so often... using a warped interface is not fun de.

Turn out... blogger got problems with singnet. Saw this on this blog... changed my proxy... and solved it! Didn't know got such problems before.

Mother's Day

Heh mother's day is coming, but I guess we wld celebrate it only on Monday. Hmm as a kid i used to sneak out early in the morning to buy flowers for my mum... but as I grow older (JC?) i stopped... why? No particular reason... we still buy flowers for mum, but that too stopped when she said it's a waste of money....

Now... caught in a bind... meaning to buy flowers / gifts or simpy buy her dinner? Haiz... sometimes it's the thought that counts I guessed, but... having said that, no 'expression of thoughts' also means it is not good... so... also dunno wat to do...

M's day is becoming so commercial too... lolz

P.S. is there something wrong with blogger? Somehow the 'New Post' page always display something funny... like elongated posting page...

Grow a village!

Heh a fren introduced this website where u grow a small digital village... yah one of those web-based online games. www.travian.com

I'm growing a Gaul village on server 4.... heh heh heh but only got abt 10+ villagers and a granary now... hmm wonder how do I invade other nearby village... and what use is it about invasion anyway. Better start reading the forums... there is this beginner guide that teaches you how to grow the Travian village in the beginning.

Done a seafood stew a few days back... somehow the sotong (squid) is too soft... doesn't taste like squid... hmm but not too bad cos didn't dirty the kitchen....
